Moran House was a finalist in Grand Designs Awards 2010, having been extensively rebuilt after an exacting project, overseen by one of London’s leading boutique architectural practices in partnership with Advantage Basement & Cellar Company London. It is a sensational family house of 4187 square feet/389 square meters with a 92’ garden, state-of-the-art technological innovations, first-class contemporary finishes and a superb layout, including a highly innovative basement conversion.

AND Architects and Advantage Basement & Cellar Company successfully applied for the Grand Designs best remodelling property for 2010 award. There were over 500 individual applications from Architects last year. Moran House was successfully selected to the last 6 and became a finalist. The awards were held at The Excel Centre in May 2010.

During the rebuild Moran House saw the entire rear extension demolished in order to make way for the basement excavation. Moran House was far more than just your average basement conversion, it involved a great deal of work and project management, from the initial basement design through its excavation, piling and waterproofing to its final fitting and finishing. The finished product speaks for itself, the basement has converted the terraced house into a contemporary living area – light and spacious.

From the kitchen you can descend into a wonderful family room measuring over 44ft in length and this family room offers great versatility and direct access up into the garden.
